Lucky you Virginia doesn't cover any maternity benefits and the office I work have maternity leave but it's unpaid 😨 luckily we have some savings for this 3 months

Omg really ? @ositababy28 I work for a hospital they start from the first day you started your maternity leave but it will take 2 to 3 weeks sometime a month to get your first check luckily I've been saving lol @antoinette23 @ositababy28

i have double insurance so my job pays for me to be out but its back pay once i have her they start paying me everything an i get paid once a week idk everyones different

I believe every state is different.being that I work at the hospital they pay for you to be out as well. As long as you have BTB saved meaning Hours saved up they will pay you to be out until your BTB is done then you also have the maternity leave plus baby bonding that also pays @antoinette23

@ositababy28, wait what. They don't pay nothing? Doesn't your state offer baby bonding I think you should look into that baby bonding is through the state that they will pay at least six weeks out look into it!

@godsjoi, I work for a doctor and we have unpaid maternity leave and I live in Virginia and I can't get any benefits or disability from the state some other states have more benefits but Virginia sucks so we had to save money for this 3 months I will be out i started my maternity leave this past Wednesday because am already 2 cm and am 38 weeks with gestational diabetes so my doctor said if there is no more progress they will induce me by the end of next week 😊😊

hmm, we don't get any kind of paid maternity leave in NY

I'm in NJ too and it depends my job actually goes through a company or they are doing the payments so I'll get it faster. But with the state it goes by how long before you out in the paper work. A lot of people told me to do it early because they didn't get their checks until it was basically time to return to work
