So my child's father used my debit card this morning to pay for an uber ride without my consent and isn't responding to my texts about how I needed that money because I have credit card bills to pay as well as have necessities to buy and his little trip took important money that was going to be the difference between me receiving an overdraft charge and not. I tried calling him before he clocked into work and also got no answer. It sucks because I use uber as well from time to time so I doubt if I called the bank to dispute it that they'd believe it was a suspicious or unauthorized charge 😪. So now I have to ask my mom for it, it's not the hugest amount of money in the world but my bills aren't her bills to be paying and she has enough on her plate as it is. I know he got paid yesterday from his new job and I asked him for help with another bill yesterday and got no answer about that when I held him down financially and supported him when he decided to quit his job, but got asked can I run around and find out if places had some particular items he was looking for; so it's really frustrating. He's definitely about to hear it when he goes on break or gets off at 12

I would try to call the bank about it regardless of if you use uber often or not. tell them someone used your card info without your permission and you weren't aware until you saw it go through. you don't have to say you know who it was or mention that you use uber often and it really shouldn't matter. if someone steals your card and buys a bunch of stuff at Wal-Mart with it, they can't say it was you just because you've shopped there before, so this should be no different. It at least wouldn't hurt to see what they say.
