i would massage shampoo in my sons hair, comb it backwards to help get out dry flakes and then use baby oil gel massage it in and put baby hair on as long as possible. my son hates hats
comb the hair in the opposite direction of growth. rinse hair well after and make sure all the flakes are out. it may take a couple times, but be patient. I usually did it maybe once a week on my baby. I was scared of her hair falling out. 😅 she has a little bit still, but it much better now.

Comb the flakes and moisturizer with coconut oil. It's like magic lol. I've used it with all of the kids that had it while nannying over the years.
