@dja, they sure as hell are painful lol. I'm trying to figure out when the pain has stopped for other people, my doctor said it could be just a while or (rarely) it could be permanent π
It can be permanent, once it decides to break out you'll feel pain or some type of tenderness. My grandmother has it and it still bothers her at times (it's tender), when it first broke out we had to be separated from her for a while and she was in a lot of pain. You'll definitely get through it β€οΈ, she was prescribed a cream too if I can recall.
@jrnidoll, mine is behind my ear, and I have bumps on my eyes and have been having vision problems so I have to go get my cornea checked π I can't take anything for the pain but Tylenol
I have something that's like shingles but it's a different herpes simplex.. same medicine though. but I get it on my face almost monthly :/ just something I deal with and have to take a lot of precautions to try to keep down or away. at the beginning of my pregnancy I had terrible painful breakouts but not often anymore.. weird how these hormones work lol. But it'll be gone soon.. shingles is way less common to come back.
@mommy2be15, that's horrible! I sure hope it doesn't lol, it's just so weird to me to be 18 and have it (I never knew anything about it I just assumed only older people got it)
