So ladies question.. My SO's grammie is buying us a highchair and his mom is texting me and found one that is over a hundred dollars and kinda boy-ish. I told her I don't want them paying so much I'd be fine with a cheaper one plus there's garage sales soon. Should I have a say since it's my kid or no since there buying it. Btw I'm very appreciative to both our parents/family buying us the major big things for our babygirl. I just wanna have a say in things due to its my kid but don't know when I should speak up or keep my mouth shut.

@hannahbbtt, depends on the parents my husbands family would hold it over our heads. That is $$ for a highchair

I think what you said is fine maybe they can find a cheaper more girly one😊. Anyway they should be making sure you like whatever they get so they are not wasting money if you don't use it.

@desi720, yes! Even a cheap plain color one id be fine with incase if I have a boy in the future. But she's looking at ones that have attachable toys and I'm like good lord it's not necessary. Lol

I would be the same way it's your first baby a little girl I'm sure you want it to be perfect. I would there is nothing wrong with that. My in laws alway ask me if I like somethings before they buy it. Or if they give me something. They want to make sure I like it enough to use it. Otherwise it's a waste

Then say can we get a neutral one incase we have more kids...so we can use awhile! Or say one that connects to chair so we can "take" with us places and not take up as much space!

You should be able to voice your opinion without them being upset about it, it's your baby and you'll be using it so it's best you get something you'll like.
