I could strangle my roommate. She gets up to do bare minimum interaction with her daughter (take her to school, get her set up to watch a show) than goes back to sleep on the couch til the last damn minute she has to get ready for work. She ends up late often because of it. And it forces me to have to actually care for her daughter (feed her, make sure she's dressed, pick up) I've tried talking to her, but shes "so tired" from doing nothing the day before. She only works part time a few days a week. Now she's barely paying attention to her even when she gets home for the cat I rescued! I love animals, and get that she needs the care and attention, but her daughter still needs to come first, not you walking off while she's talking to you to go check on the cat for hours at a time. I'm becoming more this child's mother because I actually care enough to take care of her. I've tried to just leave it and see if she'll wake up, but nothing I say or do matters at all. And she wonders why her daughter keeps seeking attention and throwing fits when she's home and awake... She wants her Mom!
