A week ago today at 8:40am my son was born through emergency c-section.

I was so nervous because I wasn't mentally ready for it and with all the pain I was in I couldn't think. He was ready though so we couldn't make him wait any longer. I had so many emotions running through me when the doctor said its baby time and he had just started surgery two minutes ago 😱

I was ready to see my son, the little person who formed inside me, relied on me for 38 weeks, who was going to look up to me, who I was going to protect and love him more than my life.

There he was Gabriel Elijah just looking towards me while I talked to him. He then began to cry as I did. Deep down I did break down looking at my little man and thinking on how much his dad has missed out and will, my Gabriel looked just like him when he came out and now everyday that passes he does more and more.

This past week has been amazing with some ups and a few downs but it's been worth it & I wouldn't trade the life I'm living now to what I was before.

He's my rock! 💙
