My husband has always dealt with dry itchy skin and since pregnancy I've been noticing my skin gets itchy too especially after showering and shaving. even most moisturizer doesn't help me and my husband hates lotion so I found this store called lush where everything is natural and hand made. I decided to try a new soap. I got a little chunk of some called portage bowl and omfg it is awesome! I don't even care that it was $8 for the chunk I got it smells so freaking good and my skin didn't itch at all after showering last night or this morning. my husband said he thinks it worked for him too, I really want to learn how to make my own now so I can save $.

You could try pure coconut oil, 100% shae butter, &/or hempseed oil. I love those three melted and reminded together, with maybe some essential oils for scent. It's not soap but it's amazing for skin. I'll actually take a bath once or twice a week and add a few tablespoons of coconut oil to it, rub the oil in my skin while in in the tub, & once I'm out & dry off my skin feels amazing, plus I've noticed it stopped the progression of my stretch marks

I have a tub of pure coconut oil that I use as a moisturizer :) it is awesome! actually I use it to make my own tinted moisturizer and I'm looking into other diy uses for it. my husband hates using any kind of lotion or oil though so I had to find a soap that worked.

@madi-girlsmama, I used it in the bath along with lavender oil once and I loved it but my husband complained the tub was slippery after even though I scrubbed it so I can't do that anymore :(

You could get a stick-down bath mat for in the tub vs. a suction cup one (those ruin tubs) and then it should help. We just had our tub resurfaced and I used the coconut oil after that, and noticed it was pretty slippery. But once we put the mat down it hasn't been slippery since.

Maybe a different mat would help. There is a mat but the oil made that slick too and was hard to get it off so I'll go see what I can find. I would love to be able to take a nice bath with the oil again @madi-girlsmama

Ours is literally just a sticker basically, but it has a sandpaper feel to it but not quite as rough. Hope that helps 😊 I would cry if I couldn't take my coconut oil baths.
