I think the air would be best. You don't want the baby to be overheated and then you don't want the fan to make baby sick. If you just have the central air on and keep her in long sleeve and pants or gown pajamas that would be perfect.

we had a fan in our room (we always have it on, all year) and had it on when our son was in there... we just had it so it wasn't blowing in his direction, if it's a ceiling fan, turn it on low perhaps? baby is swaddled right? he will be ok

I know the exact feeling! We haven't even put our AC on bc he gets cold so easily! :( we've been using the humidifier as a "fan" my poor husband has been Waking up in puddles of sweat every night
