Anyone else having to fill in the maternity allowance form finding it a nightmare of a form?
I think I'm more stupid than brave. I'm regretting it slightly. The form is done. Lets hope i get the money now. Annoying i got pregnant before i started my current job so don't get statutory maternity. @stacey804
Ah you are brave hhaha. Because of work issues I had to start mine early. I sent my forms off as soon as I hit 26 weeks. Even of you don't want it straight away you can send your forms in and get them processed though because you give them your maternity start date xx
I've not began maternity yet. Stupidly working upto 38 weeks. @stacey804
The form was a pain but half of it doesn't need to be filled in. Most of it was about being self employed. I sent 4 months worth of pay slips so it covered the 13 weeks. I heard back within 3 weeks with what they were paying me. You will probably get yours back dated to when you began your maternity. But it will take a few weeks to process then a few more days to place the payments xx
I'm still waiting! And my babies due in just over a week😩 my work messed me around as I was made aware I would be getting SMP but wasn't informed till I went on maternity that I wasn't entitled to it. Just been a nightmare! @fozzywoz
@beccastirlingx, It really is an awful form. Surely they have this information. It just seems ridiculous. How they expect a hormonal woman to fill this in is beyond me. Did you get the money ok?
@fozzywoz, it was the worst thing ever! 13 weeks worth of pay slips? I only had 12 so hopefully that's enough for them. Also, I had to wait almost a month to get a matb form from my midwife. Such a nightmare!!
sounds stupid but I can't remember, I think they don't as I only have 1 copy now and I always had 2, 1 original 1 photocopy. shouldn't need it again, sometimes your partner's employer wants to see for paternity leave
Thanks for the tip? Do they send it back? Or do we but need it again @jem29
To be honest it works out the same as maternity allowance. It goes on your pay regardless. Obviously not all the workplaces these days are the same some pay full pay, if your lucky enough. But some go by the guidelines. I don't know why they make thinks harder by using stupid rules. Xx
