I love my 4 year old SD, but going from having no child ever, to having a child every other weekend, to having her every day is so stressful. Especially when her moms a piece of crap, and let's her do literally whatever she wants. 😒
Oh god yes!! She does a LOT of attention seeking behavior. We've had her for over a month straight though due to her being put in our custody by dcfs and I feel by now it should be a lot easier for her to understand our rules and everything but I guess it's just gonna take more time :/ @jwest267
Oh we do have rules that we set, but her mom literally doesn't give her a bedtime, and basically lets her do whatever so it's hard on us. @10yearslater0205 and she refuses to even cooperate well enough with my fiancé to coparent with us
@jnanzer94, I'm in the same boat girl! and it always takes her a day to readjust to an actual schedule, rules and bedtime! just keep your cool! I take time to talk to her and explain stuff and make sure she knows she's loved! I've noticed with the switching there's a lot of attention seeking behavior so we just ignore it and enforce positive behavior. its hard sometimes though when you know the other aide doesn't make an effort :/
I'd establish rules now for ur house so she knows what's expected at daddy's house compared to mommys house .. Especially with another one coming
I'm tryin! @jwest267 we don't even have actual custody of her yet but trying to get this little girl on a schedule and understanding she can't get whatever she wants whenever she wants is difficult 🙁 plus being almost 38 weeks pregnant and I'm the one with her most days/nights.
Consistent it will happen:/
