Welcome!! Haha I understand that! I actually made this way bigger than I thought I was so I'm going through yarn like crazy. 😧😧
But I'm using the Baby Bee brand from Hobby Lobby. I got the chunky one - it's sooo soft. And on the back it recommends using the 6.5 mm/K sized hook but you could probably get away with a size or two smaller. It'd give you a much tighter gauge.
