The one thing that frustrates me about breast feeding is, sometimes, my son will latch and eat for about 5 mins and fall asleep. I try to wake him to finish, nothing works. I set him in his bassinet, he freaks out, screams, wakes up, I put him back to the breast and he impatiently seeks out the nipple, starts to eat again, then falls back asleep. Set him down because I cant wake him, the cycle repeats itself. Also, all this week he has been cluster feeding almost every hour. He also doesnt usually want to eat from both breasts at once, so one is always left full and a but painful by the next feeding. I can pump, sure, but if I did that as often as Im feeding I would never have any downtime.I know I have great production as he is pooping 5-8 times a day and pees a whole lot. Just frustrating 😕 Wish I knew how to get him to latch, eat a full meal, switch breasts and be satisfied. If I burp him after a few mins, thats the only way I can get him to switch .
