How long does it take for sex to feel decent after delivery? I'm 5 weeks pp and was cleared to have…

We tried at 5 weeks as well and everything had healed but it hurt me too. I was nervous and could not relax which was the problem! I was so tense that it's like my vagina didn't want to open up.. Lol but once I relaxed it was so much better!

@tiffanigypsy8, I had sex at 4 weeks PP & felt fine. I only had 2 stitches though.

@theinkedmommy I had a lot apparently :/ i can feel the one on the very edge xlosest to the outside when we tried, it felt like it was a little knot. it was scary.

@tiffanigypsy8, Not telling you what to do by any means but if I still had stitches I wouldn't have sex for fear of them tearing. My stitches were gone at 4 weeks. I know that because I got checked at 3 weeks PP for a UTI & she said they were gone. They didn't tell you how many stitches you had?

@theinkedmommy i got checked monday and was told they were healed a disolved, i guess i should i said i can feel where they were not the actual stitches. my doctor isn't the same doctor who delivered me so she doesn't know exactly how many i had but i know i had to be cut pretty good since my son's head was stuck half way out. i think it's just a matter of not thinking about the fact i gave birth because it makes me really tense. my boyfriend who watched it happen is fine with sex but it's like i'm traumatized from it almost.

@tiffanigypsy8, I thought I was gonna be traumatized. I am a little bit. I'm glad I only had to get 2 stitches. I was damn lucky. I thought I was gonna be all torn up.

@theinkedmommy i had pernium massages once a week and did kegels and everything i could to avoid being cut and once i was pushing the doctor said i had a good, strong pernium but halfway through when my son got stuck and pushing was becoming impossible, they had to cut me and use the little vacuum on his head to get him out. completely the opposite of my entire birth plan 😐 luckily the vacuum didn't leave any sort of mark or damage his head

@tiffanigypsy8, Oh lord that sounds intense. Glad he's safe though. How much did he weigh?

@theinkedmommy 8 lbs 6 oz, his head measured 42 weeks and i had him at 39. he's a string bean though, very long torso, arms and legs and a big head. he's 10 lbs 7 oz now and still hardly has any chunk on him

@tiffanigypsy8, Well he was a healthy baby! All that matters. Lainey is getting chunky legs. 😂 She was 5 lbs 10 oz at birth & she's about 9 now (guessing) She was 8 lbs 2.5 oz March 29th at the doctor. Formula is doing her some good. She was measuring 3 weeks behind when I was 39 weeks which is why they induced me & took her. They thought it was my placenta failing, but it turned out to just be her genetics. Can fit a cow into a chicken people...no way was I having a big baby.
