Saw this and had to post it! Eating healthy is NOT expensive. Eating junk not only is just as if not more, expensive, it also can cause major health problems that will lead to some hefty hospital bills. A few bucks for healthy food today or thousands of dollars in hospital bills later? hmmm..
@kimberkatherine, Yea they are so much fun the man that owns ours always gives my son a taste of a new fruit or boiled peanuts. my son loves cantaloupe now
That's awesome. I don't think there are any quite that close to me but I imagine there are some a few miles out. Worth a check. They're always so much fun @ashgreen13617
@kimberkatherine, we just moved to the area we are in now but we had an amazing farmers market like a mile down the road and with my husband job he gets to talk to local people all day so they all say it's best place to buy from
@ashgreen13617, Very true. That is awesome! I really want to start shopping at some local farmers markets, I just need to get to know the area I live in better so I can buy fresh and local produce 👌
my family eats healthy and one night a week we eat out out grocery bill is like 150 a week with me my husband and son. it really is not bad to eat healthy . we buy all our fruits and vegetables from out local farmers markets because we like the fresh local grown stuff
👍👏 @valrocks I love homemade sweet potato fries! Or roasted red potatoes. Homemade is best
I made sweet potato fries tonight (oven baked) my sister in law asked what brand and I answered "homemade brand". Lol.
It depends where you shop. You can definitely find deals like this. Maybe not exact, but for one person I spend about 50$ a week. For both my husband and I plus our dog, we are spending a little under 100$ a week. If I can feed my pregnant self on healthy foods for around 50$ a week then there really is no excuse for healthy food being too expensive. I have done unhealthy grocery hauls for the week versus healthy grocery hauls, they come to the same price but the unhealthy stuff doesn't last nearly as long and is terrible for you. That is the point of this post
I've been vegetarian for seven years and I can attest to the fact that eating healthy IS expensive. It's far more expensive and less convenient than fast food.
That is awesome :) @ashgreen13617
