Yeah I did with my son's when his fell.off I cleaned with the alcohol pad to get the dried blood out his belly button.

and if it falls off before i get him to doctor can i clean it out with alcohol swab again

Yeah it looks slightly infected but just call his Dr in the morning and just keep.it clean with alcohol swabs every few diaper changes clean it

That looks infected I would make another Dr's appointment to be seen tomorrow or to talk to a dr or nurse in the office and ask the best way to clear it up but use alcohol swabs for now until.you talk to the Dr @caiti3.21.16

no just recently about 3 days ago it started the smell and discharge he is 16 days old.. we had apt yesterday doctor didn't say anything about infection but the smell is so gross
