@mycherrybaby, no not yet... If we sit her up she can maintain the seated position for a couple minutes before she tumbles over

oh okay , I was just asking because Kori turns 4 months in like a week and I'm hype to start her on baby food but then I was told to wait until she was able to sit up

@mycherrybaby, my doc gave me the okay last week. She said there was no rush but since she's refusing the bottle when I'm at work I might wanna try sooner than later. I started her off on Saturday with rice cereal just to make sure she would accept and swallow it. So far so good.

Babie gut isn't developmentally ready until 6 months.

@meagansimone, while I appreciate you trying to give advice I am well aware of what the current recommendations are and my baby was showing signs of being interested in food, can sit unsupported for several minutes, has lost the tongue-thrust reflex, and is showing no signs of gastrointestinal discomfort. I am not doing baby led weaning im doing purée first so the pincer grasp is irrelevant. Like I previously stated my daughter is refusing bottles while I'm at work (12 hour shifts) and that's the only reason I went ahead and tried feeding her.

That's fine, just wanted to share, as long as you aren't replacing milk or formula with food.

@meagansimone, all decisions I make about my child are informed decisions. I'm not replacing anything with food. I'm very well aware that infants my daughters age still require at least 6-8 breastfeeding sessions a day with eating solids.
