Are there any moms here who co-sleep with your infant? Do you have any tips on safety?

I Co sleep with my son still when he was little I put him in the middle of the bed I always had one arm under him so I knew where he was I also kept a pillow on the edge of the bed cause if I needed to change positions I'd roll him with me and the pillow was if he was near the edge he couldn't roll off

I put my son on my side cause my husband rolls. I got a mesh toddler bed rail so I can cuddle my husband and my son. No intimacy lost and no worry of him getting crushed or falling. I'm a light sleeper and wake up when he cooes or moves lol

@sarahemccormick, I agree with @wyatts_mommy_0106 I did the same thing, always kept one arm under my son. I'm not a light or heavy sleeper but I was aware of where he was in my bed.

I am. I don't allow him to sleep between us. One arm around him at all times, a pillow on the other side of my arm (intill I got a net) i sleep light, & have a safety net in my side of the bed so when he starts moving he can't fall off. (He fell off 2 moved over my arm & pillow😁 I caught him in mid air) so a bought a railing

I do, I always keep my daughter between me and hubby. (She only sleeps with us in the mornings now) I sleep light but I also keep my arm around her in case my hubby forgets she's in the bed and rolls too close to her. Also I keep the blankets below her arms so she can freely move them.

This is how we co slept for 2 months. He was in the middle. So no worry of him falling out of bed. And if daddy got too close he touched me first. He also slept on my chest. A lot. But during those sleep sessions I slept so lightly that if he moved, even just his hand I woke right up. But I kept my arms by his sides so he couldn't roll off as well.
