Good morning mamas😍 I had a doctors appointment that went pretty well yesterday... The only thing that threw me off was that my midwife told me my placenta is covering my cervix which can cause bleeding & potentially cause me to loose my baby 😔 she didn't sound worried though && I haven't had any bleeding at all since being pregnant. Should I be worried ?

it's called placenta previa. I had it and the bigger your uterus gets the placenta will shift out of the way. most the time it does unless it's planted on top of the cervix. there's 3 diffrent kinds of placenta previa, low lying is what I had, marginal and full covering.

They mentioned me having that early on in pregnancy as well, but placenta moved away from cervix the further along I got, and everything is fine. Just something to keep an eye on for awhile.

I have that, I actually am going to get another ultrasound tomorrow to see if it has moved out of the way or not. I have not had any complications in my pregnancy from it, and she thinks it's just below my belly button now, but we are checking just to make sure. I think 90% of the time the problem corrects itself by your early 3rd trimester.

I'm 19 weeks and the placenta is covering my cervix too. My dr said that it should move as my uterus expands. And if not, then I'll have a c section. He didn't say anything about it being risky.

Yeah my midwife didn't sound too concerned I guess she was just letting me know so we could keep an I eye out but being a ftm lol everything that's not perfect is always nerve wracking lol but I'll just keep an eye out and try not to worry too much . @harranmommy
