I want to hear your stories about labor.

my labor started at 4:15pm Dec 24th my water broke I had my baby at 5:21am Dec 25th Christmas baby!!(: not gonna lie my contractions hurt bad I had them for hours until I got the epi but the second they give you the epi the pain goes away!! and once you have your baby in your arms you forget all about it!! honestly labor is different for everyone but so worth it!!

mine started at 130 in the afternoon and just shy of 13 hrs later my daughter was here. I started slight back contractions at 130 in the afternoon took my boyfriend to work at 230 and was home by myself...decided to take a hot bath which was a bad idea...waited til my dad got off work and went home and showered and come to my house....once my dad got there we went and got my boyfriend from work and headed to the hospital...they monitered me for an hour with no change but strong back labor so I walked the halls for 15 minutes and went from a 3 to a 6 and they finally amitted me....got my epi and doc broke my water at 10 and at 321 an she finally came...it was the most pain I have ever felt in my life but it was so worth it to have my precious baby girl here..

About 7.5 hours, half of it I didn't even know I was in labor. My daughter was 19 days early from her estimated due date. 3/4 of the time it was just uncomfortable and unpleasant. I was having contractions 4-5 minutes apart, and was dilated to 5 when I the nurses were monitoring everything after we got checked in. They got me to L&D, I was given something through my IV to take the edge off of my contractions. I knew from when I found out I was pregnant I wanted to go as natural as possible. The meds from my IV wore off and before I knew it, I was fully dilated and felt like I had to take the biggest poop of my life. Buuuuuut I had to wait another forty minutes for the doctor to show up before I could push:[ That was the WORST part. My contractions were really intense and yes I had to yell cuz that's what helped ease me, but I was told by the nurses I needed to breathe through my contractions. I laid down for most of my labor since they had yo monitor my daughter, but sat up for when I was getting ready to push. After the doctor finally showed up, he had to break my water since it never broke, and after five minutes and two pushes, my daughter was placed on my chest, and I was in complete awe. I felt no pain, just pure happiness. I only tore a little, had to get about six stitches, and they numb you for that. I think the worst part after giving birth is they empty your bladder, and they press on your stomach to make sure your uterus starts to shrink back to normal. Nothing was as bad as I thought it was going to be. If you want to go natural, I would suggest havjbg the option to walk around, and labor in the tub if you can and if it's offered to you.

@inkedmomma, omg I don't think I could wait for the doctor. Lol, I'm sad I haven't felt contractions yet, well not as much. Yeah, I'm giving birth in water :) did it hurt when they poked your water bag?

@lezette, I wanted to push soooooo bad without the doctor. I don't understand how I didn't cuss out the nurses. It was terrible. But that's so awesome you're having a water birth!! I wanted to soo bad. When they broke my water I felt a poke, but honestly when you're fully dilated and you're having intense contractions, everything else is nothing.

But hey! Maybe you're just not feeling your contractions!
