My mil kinda is doing the same thing. Said she was planning a baby shower but still has done nothing because it's so expensive. She wanted to do it on the 10th of this month then she said June or July, now she said she wants to do it the 23 of this month. But still literally has done nothing but ask us to pay for the food. -_- it's kind of annoying honestly. I really wanna tell her don't worry about it. We can't afford the food really either since we are preparing for two freaking babies! Luckily my mom is so excited and is planning her own baby shower. But yeah it's frustrating. But I feel bad for my husbands family we keep offering to invite them but she says no I'm doing one so its okay. Smh

You can actually throw a baby shower for super cheap. Salad and finger sandwiches. Fruit punch. Cupcakes. Etc. Stuff like that. I don't know why people think it has to be like sooooo expensive. I wish we were in a position to throw one for his family but we have to find an apt, get the car fixed move and start preparing for the babies arrival! We have a little nest egg from our wedding but we need that to get on our feet and out of my parents house. It's so frustrating that his mom doesn't understand that and asks us for money and to pay for stuff like her half the storage bill. Ugh. Sorry for the rant. Lol

Wow. That's crazy. I mean it doesn't have to have crazy decorations my grandma is an artist and is painting canvas for the center pieces but to not have any of that is a little crazy. :/
