My oldest daughter, who is almost 17, and who lives with her grandma in Massachusetts (its a very long story...lets just say she was causing hell in my household and corrupting my other childrens minds, and setting HORRID examples, and there wasnt a damn thing I could do to change anything) hasnt called me since before Christmas...I miss and love her so much...it makes my heart hurt so bad...I seriously feel like I lost a child with her. I have tried calling, texting, writing, to no avail. My mom says, "Well, Sarah, I cant make her talk to you." (Mind you, I dont talk to my mother, ever) and she doesn't care that it hurts me....whatever, just needed to vent

My mom is so screwed in the head....it took me until the past yr to realize and see it. I used to look up to her so much....I wanted to be just like her when I grew up - and for a while, I was...but make no mistake, it was a bad way to be. My mom IS on Hannahs side....and isnt doing her any sorts of favors by doing so. She stopped the counseling I had my daughter in because 'she doesn't believe in counseling' and stopped her meds for depression/self harm because, 'she doesnt believe in meds' and lets her do whatever she wants....My mom is gonna realize sooner rarher than later that my system worked.....her system is gonna allow my child to wind up pregnant and addicted to drugs and etc soon enough and no matter what I say or do....she wont listen to me

yeah, makes sense. Someday shes gonna realize she is making a mistake, you only get one mother....and when she decides she needs me, might be the point where I am gonna demonstrate even tougher love than I ever have...and believe me, I have been strict and I always put ny foot down but Im gonna have to teach her yet another lesson in love. You dont treat family thus way, especially not your mama who has done everything under the sun for you, and made sure you were always taken care of...its just bs

@sarahemccormick, my mother and I had the worst relationship in reverse of your situation, my mom put me out when I was 12, I was able to forgive her years and years later and when I needed her she was there. I wished for years for another mother Disney even had a movie I think it was called trading mom. Forgiveness is key if she ever needs you be there to show her what she missed all the years she thought she had it better without you.
