There's just been studies that have proved the need to not eat in case of c section is now not needed. I would love to see this change. I was in labor for DAYS I would have died for a burger or something 😂

@forever_stasia because if you were to need a csection you could vomit during and end up choking and dying. The Iv and actually eating and drinking are totally different. The Iv goes straight in your veins.

I know! The only reason I can think of is I might have more contractions because I would be dehydrated but if they end up sticking a IV and giving me fluids than I really have no clue why I can't have water or ice.. I know just because they told me I can't have anything I'm going to be wanting it lol but I'm just curious @wyattsmomma

@forever_stasia, that is so weird I was eating ice chips in between contractions while in labor.

And I read you don't eat in case you have to have a c-section... I doubt doctors care if you poop or not lol

@wyattsmomma, I can't eat drink or have ice chips after 11pm the day before my induction.

you can only have ice chips. they don't want you eating so you don't poop on them while pushing, now if your having a c section you can't eat cuz they take all your inners out.
