i actually got the epidural at 6cm. It was very smooth, my contractions werent that bad until i got to 6cm then they got really intense. i asked for the epidural like 30 min later, which almost instantly helped the pain and they also gave me pitocin at the same time. 1hour later i went from 6cm to 10cm. i practiced pushing for like 2 hours then the doctor came in and i pushed her out in like 15 min (: Even though i had the epidural i could feel the pressure of her coming out and everything. it was amazing, i busted out crying as soon as i felt her come out.
