I got it twice and I never have back problem. it will hurt after you get it but the pain will go away. it beats having to go thru contractions tho. I also will be doing the same thing with this baby as well. every woman has a different experience tho.
I just got one last night. I'll say it's better than feeling strong contractions while your tired. All I felt was a burning sensation when they were numbing the area other than that I didn't feel a thing. My back so far is fine. I'm up walking around on my own. I've showered and walked around holding my baby.
I got one and had back pain for a little bit and if I put pressure on the spot it went in then it hurts. That was 3years ago. And it can cause blood pressure to be low after birth. I'm not planning on getting one this time but it's really nothing too risky.
The other option would be to suck it up and not get an epidural. And feel all the pain. But I'm seeing if it's worth the pain for one night to not have back pain the rest of my life

I didn't have an issue with it the first time. I'm gonna get it again with this pregnancy

What other options besides an epidural do we have to control pain? I had one with my firsf baby & it was fine but I do have back pain to this day.
