My advice for packing your hospital bag? 🔴BRING A HEATING PAD🔴. Seriously, if I had to have only taken one thing with me to the hospital, it would've been this. Rice, or a plug-in one...doesn't matter. Let me get gross for a second: I didn't expect to have a C-section, but my daughter got stuck in my pelvis on the way out (she was over 9lbs, and I have a petite frame.). So, I was rushed in for an emergency C-section. A lot of people don't plan to have them, but they happen. Now, after a C-section, you have extremely bad gas. Extremely bad. Not just like "farting gas", this gas travels all throughout your body and aches and hurts. At one point the gas pains were up in my shoulders. The nurse recommended a hot blanket, and when that seem to work, I sent my husband out to go pick up a heating pad from Walgreens. The heating pads are like a Godsend - a thousand times better than the hot blanket .They help to pass any gas that you need to… And they help soothe the really bad aches and pains. Also, heating pads are known to help with recovery on the C-section site. They speed up the healing process by bringing new blood to the incision. And worst case/best case scenario, you don't use it in the hospital, oh well! You will then have it for later on when the baby has tummy gas. They work the same way with infants, they help to pass the gas. Anyway, thought I would share! I'm telling you, best advice I have! ❤️
