For those of you that aren't married & get food stamps/medicaid did you get asked to file for child…

You have to add him to your case then if you live together and you share expenses and eat together.

I had to fill out the child support application in order to get my boys health insurance on the back of the the child support app there's 2 options option 1 is for if your filling for child support & option 2 is for medical assistance idk if your application is the same where you live but if so check the box that says its for medical assistance.. @annabellemaesmommy

Yea I've heard of this before, you have to add him to your case and let them know you love together. Then they will probably ask for his income information also.

@annabellemaesmommy, that's what I was hoping too bc he works I don't and he already pays for everything right now!! I'm thinking that since it's an extra person it may go up ☺️

@m8626, same situation for me! He doesn't make too much but if we didn't have foodstamps we would be struggling harddd.

I'm pretty sure if you claim you eat separately and each pay half etc then you can still get your stuff. or just don't say anything about you guys living together. but when interviewed and I'm the paperwork say you are not wanting tanif(welfare/child support) that should allow you to keep your stuff and not have to collect child support. what state r u in?@annabellemaesmommy,

yeah just tell them you live together and he provides for you and adding him to your case should resolve everything. now youre 3 people not just one with one income it should work out. just make sure you do not get tanif because you will be responsible for paying the state back. they dont really tell u that stuff and you and up in a mess. I've seen it happen before
