*IN NEED OF URGENT ADVICE*
So I'm not sure what's going on. My 1 year old started getting these a day ago, they come and go but on different spots on his face. It doesn't seem to bother him but I'm not sure what it is. I've been looking online for answers but I haven't seen anything that looks like his. I thought it was ringworm but how they described isnt the same. Does anyone know what this may be? Please help 😭
.@alesia_, @bubblebeck thank you! and thanks for the help! Ill still probably take him to the doctor to see what it was exactly but I really appreciate the help from all of y'all! and he doesn't feel warm but I used warm water with a bit of lavender and the redness and swelling went away
**side note** Hives can cause fever, which you just treat the same way you always would, Tylenol- motrin.
I'm really leaning on hives, but I'm just a mom. If what I was telling doesn't are it go away or it comes back, I'd still make an appointment. If it not bothering him or causing fever, I think you could wait and observe until monday, imo.
@alesia_, @rochelleyayy its not bothering him which is the weird part but my boyfriend is running to the store, where do I get tree oil?
If I remember correctly, my daughter was just over 1 years old when she got hives. Hers were slightly different and caused be allergies in the air. I gave her benadryl, but it didn't work. I then tried Zrytec, which ended up working. Also, if it does start to bother him, try Aveeno baby oatmeal baby. I'd wait until I spoke with a doctor or on call nurse about giving the meds. Or I guess you could look up the age and doseage.
My son gets welts like that when he gets bit by mosquitos. I put Benadryl cream and tea tree oil and put bandaids so he doesn't scratch and they are gone within a couple days. Looks like it could be hives but either way the Benadryl and tea tree oil should help it.
Benadryl, bath without any soaps so you don't irritate it more, cool rag, maybe calamine lotion if it's bothering him that bad.
@alesia_, I think they make some for babies but I'll try and see if it works
@bubblebeck Is there anything I can do for hives? He's never had any major issues so this is new for me
I agree with @alesia_ looks like hives to me. I watch it and maybe go to an after hours clinic tomorrow, if your pediatrician's office is closed.
Looks like hives, my daughter had something similar to this all over her body when we found out she's allergic to penicillin
Great! I'm glad to be of some help! 😊
