For all the mommas on here with toddlers, what are some good activities to promote learning and talking? My daughter is funny, she loves to sing all kinds of songs from Disney songs to her ABC's and other nursery rhymes but she doesn't like to talk. She won't use basic words that I KNOW she knows to ask for simple things. How can I help her with her talking other than continuing to talk to her?

when i give my daughter a sippy cup ill ask her to say cup before i give it to here, same for colors and stuff like that. she says it because she knows she wont get it until she does.

@babyboy528, I've tried that too and then she'll just throw a fit and get frustrated. I guess I just need to be more stern with her.

yes . my daughter did the same thing but she has finality learned a fit won't get it faster and eventually she said it to get whatever it is she was wanting. I've done that with all five of my kids and had worked every time. just be firm.

@babyboy528, I have so much respect for you. There's days where I wanna pull my hair out with just her. I can't imagine 4 others AND being pregnant.

yah it's tuff alot of times but I wouldn't trade it for the world, and I know I will miss all these crazy moments when they are grown
