I can't get over the fact that I'm 98% sure my doctor tried to trick or push me in to signing a tubal consent at my last appointment. I guess without him or I even talking or mentioning this he went ahead and put it in my file! So as I was signing out I hear the nurse yell at another & say! "Grab me a tubal consent!" It took me a second before I looked at her and said what the heck is that!? She said "to get your tubes tied after birth!" Uh! Come again! I'm not signing that! I haven't even discussed this with my doctor! She says! Oh I'm sorry! It was written in your file! Needless to say I'm feeling little trust toward my doctor! Yes. This is my 4th child, but that doesn't make it okay, for him or anyone to assume or push such a thing! If he don't like the amount of children I have or may have down the road, I'll gladly take my money somewhere else!!! 😡

Even If you wanted to have a dozen kids , it's not his choice to decide that for you . Smh . Some doctors are just over the top .

oh wow that's ridiculous.. I would definitely bring up my grievances with him and then see about finding a new doctor

I definitely don't plan on having anymore. But coming from having a mom who was unable to get pregnant after having me. I grew up watching her hurt & pain due to this. I always promised I'd never purposely do that to myself. I'm a responsible enough adult to not have anymore if I choose not too. But yes, the office I go to actually has a total of 5 different obgyns working it. I can see just one, or them all! This will be my last appointment with him. I don't trust him to deliver my baby now. 😣 @xoxoalexusss @brittneylove

it may have been an honest mix up, I'd ask him about it. they see a lot of patients and he may have told them to file it under the wrong name. which a mistake like that isn't OK but it may have been purely accidental. but I'd be sure to ask him or even call hr

Holy shit I'd be pissed. How dare he, or anyone, be so presumptuous as to try to suggest that you be done with babies! Even if you do intend for this to be your last, you didn't ask. How dare he?! Ugh.

Exactly! When you go there and do the OB registration, that's a question they ask, or offer. In my case I remember being asked because I fit the criteria being 27 with 4 kids. & I told her, no. So he shouldn't ask. It's mind bottling to me. Which is why I think he was pushing for it. @evococa

Some people think they know everything. That elitist, entitled attitude is unacceptable when you're a "trusted" healthcare physician. It's disgusting. At least you won't be seeing him again. Now it's one less thing to worry about during delivery (:
