Ok ladies, I need input..... I'm one of 5 siblings (8 including step siblings)..... One of my sisters was in a 8 year abusive relationship and had 2 kids with the guy (they're 6 and 4 now)... After they broke up, I offered to help her get on her feet, got her a job with my friend and babysat for next to nothing.... But, the thing is, she'd turn her phone off, disappear for days at a time... I'd get my nephews into a routine and she'd show up and it'd be a free-for-all..... My youngest nephew needed surgery to get tubes in his ears, she literally dropped them right back off at my house the day he was discharged from the hospital.... I had them for almost 3 months and she stayed at my house with them twice..... This was last summer...... Now, she has her own apartment, but when I stopped babysitting for her (coz I got fed up), I was the bad guy... Her and I didn't speak to each other for a long time after that because I gave her a much needed ass whooping of a reality check... Now, she only calls when she needs a babysitter. I want a relationship with my sister and for our kids to have a relationship because we used to all be really close. But, after all that shit she pulled, it's never been the same..... Am I wrong for feeling this way and not wanting to babysit again?

You are not wrong. if you still want that relationship then you should do a play date at the park or something. you meet them there and hang try to talk and leave. if she asks you to babysit say no you have your hands full right now and need to focus on baby.

@ce0507, yeah, she's a master manipulator! she knows how to play people to get what she wants. but, I taught her that game, so I see right through her bullshit! it's just sad that my nephews are going through all that... the 6 year old started kindergarten a year late because of her being so unstable. and her ex is worse off than she is! I just don't get how grown ass people can't get it together sometimes!

@kala_elise, in my opinion you're not wrong at all. there's nothing wrong with wanting that relationship with her but you have your own life to live, & your own kids to tend to. she need to grow up & tend to her responsibility as a mother. you not babysitting doesn't mean you don't love your nephews & her, but at some point you have to stop allowing her to take advantage of you.

I don't think you're wrong at all. You not wanting to babysit is totally justified. It's not like you don't love your nephews to death, but she can't just dump her kids on you then peace out!
