Is there anyway i can get my 6 month old to sleep longer than 3 hours at night before first feeding…

my daughter is almost 6 months, and she would wake again after 3 hours (she used to sleep longer stretches) but I think there is a growth spurt looming.... if your little one used to sleep longer stretches and isn't now that is what I would assume it is... you could also at 6 months give some cereal at night before bed (I always give the cereal at bedtime) then bottle or nurse

@sarahdrew, since birth,thats been his sleep schedule.every blue moon he'll sleep all night.i tried cereal when he was 4 months,that didn't work.and ive tried food,that didnt work either.and i always make sure he falls asleep with a boob or a bottle in his mouth.that way i know he's okay.

hmmmm, I'm sure you have tried to keep him up more during the day (it sounds like he has his days n nights mixed up maybe?) I am out of ideas honestly I'm sorry, the cereal works for my daughter (it didn't when I tried it at 4 1/2 months)

@sarahdrew, his days and nights are fine,he just wakes up to eat..but im so lost myself..ive tried keeping him up during the day,when i can cause i barely get sleep at night.he just gets so fussy and whiny,so i give in and put him to sleep.

my daughter is almost 7 months and still wakes up every 3 or so hours sometimes she'll sleep longer but usually 3 hours then wakes up to nurse. if you're breastfeeding it's not odd for baby to wake up often.
