So I've been thinking a lot about this. Moms that breastfed and lost weight in a healthy manner post partum in a healthy way. How did you manage to not affect your milk supply? Did you exercise? Just eat healthy? I BF my first but instead of losing I ended up gaining 20 more lbs and never lost the baby weight. I'd like to not repeat that cycle again. I also had PP depression. I don't know maybe it was that whole combo. I still got a lot of time to think about this but I just want to see others opinions and plans. The last thing I would like to do is affect my milk supply and that's the main reason I tried doing nothing after my first. I have seen it can be done though and I wished I knew how then.

I just didn't pack on the extra 500 calories. I'm eating like I did pregnant pretty much, but without the random 11 o clock at night cravings for an entire pizza. 2 weeks pp and lost 15 lbs. They have teas as well and lactation cookies.

ask your doctor about a breastfeeding diet. it's a diet where you get the calories you need to loose weight as well as keep supply. cut out junk food and sweets. drink only water. doing simple things like that will make a difference. go for walks. don't stay inside all day.
