I had fever a few weeks back and was worried about breastfeeding my little boy but they said the best thing to do is feed him through because once I already had symptoms the contagiousness has already been passed on, and the more they're exposed to the better their immune system xxx

@darciepenny, I'm barely breastfeeding now as the contraceptive pill I'm taking has dried my bloody milk up. Xxx

It's okay, I don't think he will catch it now you already have symptoms, and that's not good! Did they not give you a breastfeeding safe pill?xxx

I have to be careful with contraceptives, I've had every pill jab you can think of and it triggers incredible low moods amd irritability so basically I turn into a nutter. It's the only one I can just about take. And I still feel a bit dodge on the one I'm taking xxx

Oh dear, im not on contraception just because I didn't want it to interfere with my breastfeeding, you can always keep upping your milk, lots of skin to skin and popping on the boob, lactation cookies, the more he feeds the more you'll make even though it's hard xxx

Thanks lovely. Can't see me being on it for long to be fair. Hate anything that interferes with the body unnaturally. As for breastfeeding, good for you for being so dedicated and stubborn into not giving in. It's so easy to slip into the formula feeding purely because it's so damn easy lol xxx
