I had to cancel and appointment and it took almost 7 weeks to get another and it was only an ultrasound and I had an appointment I didn't know about while I was out of state. and I really dont wanna wait another month to get an appointment. is there steps to switching my care to another place?

call, ask if the accept transfers at X weeks, then you have to get your medical records, so go in as soon as you find someone and sign a release of records (make sure you have your previous Ob's fax number)

I've had a different doctor each time I've gone so I only know the name of the hospital and that's pretty much it

call the appointment line and ask for the fax number to records so you can have your records transferred

nope. just get the fax number and physically go in to the new place once you find one. they'll give you the paper to fill out and fax it to them and request to release your medical records
