I literallyyyyy just typed out almost the exact same post and then decided there was no point. I agree with you 100%. There is no such thing as a bad dog; just a bad owner. I have helped in two shelters, and I've never seen something that's so heartbreaking. Even places like the ASPCA are terrible. :(

@jennatess, I just can't take it anymore.everyday there is like 10-20 ladies complaining about their dogs. And I'm sitting here wishing my dogs were with me instead of with family until we get our own place. It's disgusting how quickly they turn on their fur babies. One mistake and it's like banish the dog or death sentence. I get frustrated with my fur babies too but I understand that comes with having an animal! It's just so disgusting to me. Pounds are no place for dogs or cats for that matter. They are the most depressing place.

My cat was born at the shelter, adopted, and then brought back to the shelter 😕 when I saw him and played with him and they told me his story, I just had to give him a forever home! My boyfriend at the time wanted to get a kitten and told me that we were NOT getting a cat... but I swear he looked so sad when we left him there after playing with him. I cried for days and days because I felt so bad and eventually we went back. He is now a very happy indoor/outdoor kitty, who likes other cats and dogs, and children. At the shelter they kept him alone in a glass display cage because he had been there the longest. My poor baby but he is so happy now!

@twinscomingsoon, I agree. Animals are my passion. Heck, I've been vegetarian for almost 4 years. I couldn't ever harm and animal, and the way people are so quick to "find them a new home" breaks my heart. These poor babies dont know why they are in a new place, and it's been proven that animals are inclined to suffer from depression when they switch owners. It's devastating. "My dog chews the carpet.". Well, then, GET A FU*KING TRAINER! People say they don't have the time or money, then they shouldn't have gotten a fur baby in the first place. Having a dog is just as much as a commitment as having a human child, in my personal opinion.

@babymay2016, I 100% believe in adopting older pets from shelters. Giving them a life of love is the best gift you can give especially after being there for so long and then being taken back. Your kitty got a lucky break with you❤️

@jennatess, I agree! My puppies are my babies. Period. I can't believe some people lock their dogs up for 12+ hours in crates or don't take them for walks for don't play with them and then wonder why your dog has behavioral issues. It's like come on it's not rocket science. You wouldn't do that to a toddler and then say get rid of it because it had a accident or hyper activity or excitement? There is so much ignorance when it comes to having pets obviously.

@twinscomingsoon agreed 100% that breaks my heart because I can see in Bailees eyes she loves me just as much if not more than I love her, she's seriously like my child I take care of her when shes being a brat, when shes sad, doesn't feel good or when shes happy as can be just like I will my baby girl

@hermommy, my favorite quote says "dogs are the only creatures who will love you more than they love themselves" and it's so true considering they will literally sacrifice themselves to save you or put themselves in harms way to protect you. Most of the time I prefer my dogs over any "friend" I ever had. I would get invited to go somewhere and if look at my dogs and be like nah I'm gonna chill with my pups. Cause puppy cuddles and kisses give me life! ❤️❤️❤️

@twinscomingsoon, i have a 1yr old pitbull who is quite a handful but i'm so happy to have her in my life. Pisses me off when people say "be careful pitbulls are innately aggressive." Oh im sorry have you owned a pit before? super annoying! makes me sad to see so many pits being judged and so many dogs die cuz of bad owners.. i do agree 100%that having a dog especially a puppy is like having a kid. takes time, commitment and a lot of patience and not to mention money!

@reina_den, pit bulls are big babies when trained and treated right. I love all dogs no matter the breed they just need love attention and patience

@twinscomingsoon, exactly! although mine's a butthead sometimes she is a good dog..breaks my heart when people say they have to get rid of their dog cuz of where they live. I know im going to have trouble finding a place after i move out of my mom's.. people are so quick to judge
