Hello family and friends! This Saturday, April 2nd, in Seattle, Wa we are holding a training for aspiring birth assistants for people of color. We are looking for a couple of pregnant people or babies under 6 months old to join us and be a part of our hands-on learning experience. We will be practicing taking newborn vitals, vitals of the mother and listening to fetal heart tones. For The People would appreciate any pregnant folks and parents of young babies who can make themselves available to volunteer for a half-hour (or more!) between 11am and 3pm. Light snacks will be available. We are specifically looking for participation from families of color, although all interested volunteers are welcome to reach out.
