I was told the reason they do one around 20 is because they can see things really well when the baby is that size- and when they get bigger it's harder to see things bc they're so squished. And that insurance only covers medically necessary ultrasounds, so they'll only do it if u have problems. If u want another ultrasound there's places in most cities that will charge just to do one for fun or to get more pix of your baby! I actually went to one of those so I could see my baby's gender earlier than 20 weeks.

Yeah. I was high risk my first pregnancy and had to have an ultrasound every week. This time I'm not, so I've gotten 2 so far. And that's it.

But it's fine. I did what @olson0305 said. I got the 3D/4D ultrasound done.
