How many of you had your baby already and are having bad separation anxiety, or really over protective of your baby? I am having a hard time putting my baby down, letting people hold him (including his own dad), and when they do hold him I watch them like a hawk and most times end up taking my baby back from them . If we go out into public and somebody touched him I usually come home upset and end up crying and I bring him to my room and won't let nobody come in. Ugh! I feel like I'm losing my mind. I'm usually a very nicecaring person . I went and seen a Intake counselor last week and they are calling me sometime this week with a appointment.

if its your first baby it's completely normal. talking to someone other than family or friends will help you with an unbiased opinion. hopefully it helps bc those days when you are exhausted will come & you need to feel comfortable enough to allow someone to help you out. good luck and congrats on the baby (:

I think that by recognizing that this might be solved with some help from a counselor is really great. It clearly means that you can see you might need a little bit of help to allow others to come close to your baby. You are a great mom and I hope that the counseling makes you feel much better. Good luck to you!
