The baby could be latching wrong. There's no reason nursing should hurt @emontesmommy if you use your nipple cream and latch the baby and unlatch the baby correct, no pain should occur. As far as the zero sleep? Welcome to being a parent. If your stomach was the size of a marble you'd be hungry all the time too. Don't pump. Push through it or your success rate drops dramatically unless you're willing to do both CONSTANTLY

Hang in there mama!! It hurts for a while but it gets easier I promise! Use that nipple cream as much as you need too! No one ever tells you how painful breastfeeding is until you reach the painful part lol. Hang in there😘😘

@dcb012, even when she latches on good it still hurts I was at the newborn club at Kaiser and they were watching how she was latching onto me and she latched, still hurt. Yeah that "sleep when she sleeps" isn't really accurate

If she's been latching wrong your nipples already have the damage.... Try a nipple shield. And use the cream after every feeding and even more so. Alternate with Aquaphore. If she latched or lazy latched wrong once, your nipples already have damage. Also try different positions. Usually foot ball and the opposite side hold will pull your nipples. Try laying on your back. But try the shield till they heal. If your milk isn't FULLY in, the pump can hurt more than the baby

@oliviasmama1211, I do use the nipple cream and still hurts so bad! I want to start crying when she starts feeding but after a few seconds it goes away but I still feel it
