I have 5 weeks to go till he is AIT, and then he'll get his phone back to a point mostly weekends. I called one of my army friends who have been through it all and is guaranteed all of it and he said the basic where where my hubby is, is old fashion and more then likely won't get to call me till AIT

I'm sorry! :( my guys only gone during the week but he was on harvest in Canada for 6 months and I hardly talked to him then!! I'm not an army wife but I feel like it sometimes!!! he hardly talks to me when he's only an hour and a half away!!! and he has his phone!! I'm lonely too!!!

my hubby use to be in the oil field and was away for 4 months so I can handle him not being here but what is starting to get to me is his my best friend that I call and tell everything to would went till he got home from work just bug him watch movies with him. waking up in the mornings to him begging what's for breakfast like a little kid lol @

mines the same way I spend all weekend with him and then he leaves 4am Monday mornings and it makes me sad because we enjoy each others company we usually only have eachother!!! I'm pregnant and so none of his friends stay over we don't go out with friends anymore he works and I stay home and just wait for him to get back!! it's a hastle to talk to him when he's not home

If he's still in basic, he's not even fully army yet.... And it depends on how the drill sergeants run everything. My husband only got to call on Sunday's even through AIT and that's IF people didn't screw up.... Some weeks I went without anything but a letter.

I know all about. in AIT if they are good and are not camping they get their phones on the weekends. sundays are the down time
