what I'm saying is, when you go to a doctors office you don't need her approval to be on or off birth control no matter how old you are.... just saying. my mom forced birth control in me after my first son at 15 and it made my body feel horrible and at 17 I stopped it completely no matter what she said since there's nothing she could do.
I'm not sure the exact age in each state, but you don't have to be 18 to consent to medical treatment. I was signing documents and taking control at age 14/15 and my mom had no control over it due to HIPAA. You mom has no legal right to force you to continue to stay on any type of birth control.
@jgh2398, yes!! My mom only knew about my medical stuff if I told her about it. And the doctors do not have a legal right to discuss anything about you to anyone else but you thanks the the HIPAA law. Look into it! If she doesn't "agree" to taking you off depo, use google as your friend and contact your doctors office and ask for advice. They'll know things more in depth than I would!

Now that I think of it my boyfriend went to the doctors awhile back and he is mom didn't have to go with him. @kpaul21
