Strep B test & cervix check were not as bad as I expected them to be! Still 1cm dilated, but 80%…

@chrissytee, for the strep b test is it done like a papsmear? i have mine tomorrow! :/

I refused my Pap smear originally, so I don't know because my doctor was awful. I was sexually assaulted when I was little so the only memory I have of anyone checking down there really was from that, and she just couldn't understand why getting checked made my anxiety all crazy.. So I switched doctors.. But honestly the cervix check & strep b were done in like three minutes! Strep B did not hurt in the least & cervix check was just some pressure. Nothing to be super nervous for, I promise!

Strep b is a swap type deal, and the cervix check just felt like she was using her fingers lol idk. Don't worry though! It'll be okay

Yep! Exactly why I haven't seen that doctor since that day.. And it took me forever to find someone I was comfortable enough to let down in that area, so I understand. I promise you, I have HORRIBLE anxiety about it & I was perfectly okay.. So you will be just fine. Strep b test will be over before you know it took place & if they're checking your cervix it might hurt just a little bit, but it's mostly pressure & it's over within a minute.

Lol my favorite quote from that doctor was "it's gonna be hard to be pregnant if you don't want anyone down there" that was the day I learned that it's OKAY to request a new doctor if you're not comfortable with the one you have checking you. 🙌 It's not that I didn't want anyone down there, my PTSD goes crazy when anyone is & I only want people down there checking me who understand that. But I got through my check today just fine, so I'm sure you will too! Sending you positive vibes! @astims23
