I know mom's who smoked their whole pregnancies and didn't have any problems with the babies coming home with them...idk I live in SC...but those kids are super smart and there is nothing wrong with them.

@nvargo25, I've talked to a lot of people about it and from what I've been told, they come in and talk to you at the hospital if you and your baby fail for marijuana and the mother has to take classes. But I have no idea what will happen with me being clean when he comes...the hospital has a record of my dirty test from complications

Honestly, you and baby should be fine. My friend smoked right up until she went into labor and it wasn't ever an issue. I think the only times they're testing for weed is if there's already a reason be investigating the family. It'd be different if it were a different drug because of the danger to baby. Mind you, I'm new to Ohio, so I'm not familiar with how things work exactly, but I truly think you'll be okay. Plus, IF cps became involved, they would be able to test you to see how long it had been since you quit I'm sure. Ps. Good for you for quitting (:

Oh then I'm not sure - but if you're honest with them and you have quit to finish out your pregnancy then I don't see why they would do something drastic. I mean they can see your clean pee etc.

I think you should be fine as well. I know a few people that have smoked their whole pregnancy and nothing happened.

if you come up clean, they may just open a case, which is open for 30 days, which would allow them to randomly drug test you during that time. if you continue to stay clean and do right by your baby, they'll bow our

I personally see nothing wrong with smoking marijuana while pregnant but my baby is more important to me, and I don't want there to be any chance of him being taken. Everyone has said they wouldn't do that for marijuana by I've been a nervous wreck. I'm not clean yet but I should be within the next week...its been several.

I birthed both my babies in Ohio (Holzer) and so did my sister. The day my nephew was born he tested positive for suboxen (spell check) and cps was never involved. She was doing it her I tire pregnancy. The doctor who delivered her baby just told her he was never going to delivery anymore of her babies again. Same doctor that delivered my second he's very against that stuff and asked me if I have any illegal substance in my system and also made it clear if I did he was not delivering my child.

I agree. In fact, I think weed can be really helpful for things like morning sickness, sleep, and general anxiety -especially since you can't take any anxiety meds while pregnant- but it's still probably better safer for now to avoid the questions at the hospital. <3 you got this momma

Well as long as your OB knows your no longer smoking and putting effort forth then you and baby should be clear from cps. I'd say by the time baby is born it will be completely out of y'alls systems. I

They won't take your baby for MJ but it does stay in the baby's system longer then the mothers so as long as you quit before your baby started storing it's feces you'll be fine I just quit 4 weeks ago so I understand

@lynna0909, see, I didn't. I quit around 13 weeks and then started again at 25 when I started getting violently sick every day and losing weight. I just quit at 29

Yeah they will test you and baby but they won't take your baby for MJ but that's in NC idk about Ohio

Praying, love! Just remember, it's never worth it to borrow trouble. You're doing your best to make the best decisions for baby <3 that's the most important thing.

@lynna0909, everyone here has said the same thing. I know a girl who smoked while in labor who had nothing happen and then I know a girl who failed her test and had to take three drug classes...I think it depends on where you deliver and my hospital is strict. But I will be clean so I just don't know what to expect

@ftm2be, no I've never heard of that happening and it has never happened in my experience. You would have to be sitting like in a car with no ventilation and there would have to be a LOT of smoke
