alright y'all, I have to vent:
so I ask for the 8th off, that's my gender appointment! I got it off and then she texts me today and says there's a required class regarding customer service, I have to take in the first 90days of being hired. its a 2day class and just so happens to be on the day I need off. its from 8am-4pm! my appointment is at 1. I simply said i can't reschedule and proceeded to ask questions to work around my appointment to make it all work out. she then asks me again if I can reschedule and says if I can't I have to go to another base to do it...I get paid 8.25/hrly, I've put jobs in front of the most important things in my life ever since I was 16. Needless to say this was my response..my family will come before a job. By the 8th I have been waiting 20weeks to know what my baby is, I'm not budging.

if she gave you the day off she has to figure it out, it's her responsibility not yours!

exactly that's why its pissing me off that I'm over here trying to help her work around it and she's like you need to reschedule or go to another base for it...@mj82016,

they don't just do a gender scan, they do a lot of important measurements. that's crazy she's trying to make you "fit" your job before you and your babies health

you don't have to explain to her or anyone what the appointment is for, there's appointments for a reason, to check the health of you and your baby, which isn't their business. and if she approved of that day as your day off then that's her fault because I'm sure they know about tests way ahead of time. you did your job which was requesting off ahead of time like required and she approved it, so I say don't go that day and if there's a problem then speak to someone higher than her.

oh I will. and I know I don't have to explain myself its just so hard finding jobs here but I got this, I'm already putting in other applications because she never bothered to respond. I've put jobs ahead of things since I was 16, I will not put a job in front of my child. the only reason I wanted this job was to pay off my car and save for the baby @emily18234 @kelseys
