I say as long as they have the support and they are willing to step up to the plate then fine! Just makes it so much harder if you're not old enough for a job

it depends I'm a teen mom well was a teen mom and it was hard as hell but if you step up and do what you have to do then go for it my son is now 10 I was 15 when I had him I can't put them down for being pregnant at that age nothing wrong with it but if you really do what you have too then you won't have a problem

I really don't agree with any of it. But can't really say too much cause I don't want to offend any one that has done it successfully.

I think it's a waste their wasting their childhood ... They should be acting like 13,14,15 and 16 year olds . Not having sex and having kids , they have their whole adult life for that . I think it's sad and it's hard and they should really be careful and do what kids their age do - school, proms , hanging with friends etc .

There's so much more to life than being a teen mom. You have all the time in the world to have sex or get pregnant. Enjoy your years as a teenager. Don't complicate your life.

if it was my daughters I would beat their a** with a lot of other consequences with it. but however they would step up and take care of it and I would help them as much as I could.

Im a teen mom. I got pregnant at 18 and now I'm 19. I can only speak for myself, I feel like I'll be a good mom. I have alot of support and a spouse that is right there with me every step of the way. Yes it's a little more stressful but honestly I wouldn't change it for anything.

I think as a teen, some are not financially stable to have children. Children are expensive and to think the grandparents are going to pay for the expenses is wrong. Unless you have a job and a place for your child to arrive, no one should be brining a baby to this world.

@jellybeanmommy_2016, I think an 18 year old is deff capable of being a great mom and in some cases totally financially stable - hell my mom had a kid at 18 - ok it was the 70s but if they can do it then I'm sure we could now ! I think anyone under 18 is just wasting their teenage life and what's supposed to be the best time of their life . Goodluck though you'll be grey

I think the term "wasting their life" or "wasting their teenage life" is a little too much. Having a child isn't an end to a means but a beginning. Scientifically speaking our bodies begin to to prepare sexually at around 12 or 13, sometimes sooner, and reach their peaks by age 24. Putting the prime age to bear children in the teen years. Teens now a days, however, are as a majority, too immature emotionally and mentally to prepare for and properly raise a child. Regardless of how capable they are physically. I got pregnant at 17, married at 18 and my ex husband was in the military. So monetarily and support wise, we could have succeeded as young parents easily. However, that was not enough. I am now a single mom to an almost 6 year old at 23. Had I chosen to be more precautionary and had children at a more socially acceptable age, it probably could have saved both myself and my son from a lot of the pain of an immature abusive relationship turned serious because of trying to rush to be an adult. My son still suffers from recoil and backlash of said unhealthy relationship to this day, over 3 years after it ended. It's easy to see the future as full of possibility and certainty when you're seeing it through rose colored glasses at 16 or 17 years old.

I don't count myself as a "teen mom" I mean I'm 18 but Saturday I'll be 19. my situation is different then most girls my age though because I'm already married we got married before I was even pregnant. shortly after I got pregnant but still. teen moms shouldn't be judge just because they had sex and ended up getting pregnant. sometimes they get pregnant on the first time they ever have sex. not every teen mom actually planned on having a kid so young.

I think if they want to act as adults their are consequences of those actions so if they end up pregnant with a baby now they should take responsibility that means no parties, can't just let mom and dad take care of your child as you go.to the mall or what not. I do think that is way too young but I was raised differently.

13,14,15 just shouldn't be having sex at that age period. @amber188 @babyreeves @chingona @gcpaschal @jazzy1221 @jellybeanmommy_2016 @kellynicole @mom2b1984 @shelsynikkol

I agree 💯, I remember when I was a teen yes I was boy crazy as in I was crushing on a few but I was more scared of what my mom and how she would react. She expected me to know better, I wasn't allowed to date and I didn't want to til I graduated from high school. But I was more mature then the girls of my age then I grew up in the 90s. But I also knew the consequences of what could happen if I did and what I might have done. I know that I would have wanted the child but I knew at that age if that had happened I could give someone the chance of giving the child what I could not at that time. I don't know if teens really think of what can happen. And it's not so much "ruining their lives" it's they have to grow up when they themselves are still kids aka babies having babies.

Well I'm my opinion they really shouldn't be having sex that young anyway, and it puts a huge burden on their parents which is not fair at all. You can't even sign your own medical paperwork but you can have a baby, doesn't really make any sense.
