you have the right to say no, when i went in with my first they were 3 mins apart and i was stuck at 3cm they wanted to send me home and i refused, they didn't even give me medication and within 5 hrs he arrived

Lmao they sent me home i was having contractions 3-4 mins part for 2 days only 2cm dilated i went back the next day at 3pm and said im not leaving turns out i was 4cm Thank God.

When I was pregnant with my first I got sent home twice! When I came back the 3rd time I walked up to the desk and said "I'm back and I'm NOT leaving" lol I was 5cm that time so I got to stay

Girl, I wish I had your backbone. I was having contractions that were 3 minutes apart for over an hour. They kept me for two hours and I was still having contractions and the meter showed that they were going up to the 100s and 4 minutes apart but they checked me twice and I was only dilated barely 1 cm. So they sent me home. So yesterday I was in pain and still having contractions and I was puking so I went and they gave me meds but sent me home cause there was no change in my dilation. I'm 40 weeks 4 days. I'm overdue. But they refused to give me anything to help speed up the process. So today as I do research cause I woke up with no contractions and actually slept through the night I was super confused. Apparently I was experiencing prodomanal labor, which is false labor. It's more intense than Braxton Hicks, has a pattern and makes you feel like you're in labor, only thing is there is no progression. Some women dilate from the process. But sometimes it's just to prepare your body for labor and cervix softening. Other times its to move your baby into the right position. So I understood what was happening but it was no thanks to anyone at the hospital. The nurses treated me like crap. Like it was my fault for having contractions and coming in. The only positive is that I had an ultrasound today and it was to check his weight for induction and they determined he weighed 9 lbs so they scheduled me for a c-section this Wednesday. But even still, it's better safe than sorry to go into the hospital and I hear horror stories and have one of my own. Smh, I just don't get it.
