yay!!! no gestational diabetes!! thank God.. didn't want to have to go through that again!!

So it varies with each pregnancy? And goes away if you get them? I don't know much about them, and have been curious how they work.

I had gestational diabetes with my first 15 years ago and it does go away after the birth of the baby.. it does put you at a greater risk for getting type 2 diabetes later in life. it also raises you risk of getting gestational diabetes again with other pregnancies.. this is my 4th and last pregnancy and I only had it with my first... woo hoo!! @simplyairbear

@brwneydgirly25, that's amazing! Yay!! I'm so happy for you!! That's so awesome! Lol. I'm sure it was so hard not to worry! Do they only affect the third trimester? I'm curious why they wait so long in the pregnancy to test for it.

if it develops its usually between 20 to 24 weeks, that's why the test later. they do test early if you have other risk factors including previous gestational diabetes @simplyairbear
