I know I do this a lot but I have another rant about my OB.
I went in for my Strep B test & she didn't even tell me she was going to check my cervix, which is the second time shes done so which actually pissed me off a lot because I felt very violated. You don't just shove yourself into someone's vag without letting them know wtf you're doing!! The first time she did it I was in the hospital and told they WOULD NOT have to do that since I wasn't having contractions AT ALL, & on top of that she did it while another nurse was in the room, which made me feel even worse because that's something very personal, to do it without telling you first & in front of someone else for your first time getting checked is just wrong to me. Ugh!!

Around this time, they check you until you're in labor. They have to check how low you are and if you're dilated. Maybe she's doing it without thinking cause she assumes you know she has to. Good luck~!

My doctor has never checked me without a nurse in the room, it's caution for them.

Regardless of assumptions I think every doctor should be required to tell you exactly what they're doing before they do it @camerynsmommy
@olivia1 I've never heard of that. But I just don't like this type of situation. I'm told I won't have to be checked (this situation was weeks ago) and then for no reason that I was told she ended up checking anyways which was kind of painful and extremely uncomfortable especially with this other nurse in the room staring too. Maybe it's because i was sexually assaulted when I was younger, but I feel very violated when she doesn't things like that.

I'm sorry about that. I know nurses have to be in the room for check ups and stuff so if anything happens. Maybe talk to your doc about it. They should definitely tell you. At this point in your pregnancy, they'll check every time. Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes well!
