Quick question on one of my other pregnancy apps It gave me a list of food not to eat and one of things is lunch meat and sliced cheese? What is wrong with lunch meat and sliced cheese?? I love sandwiches there easy to make and taste good. So has any of you mom's had any problems with lunch meat or sliced cheese. The meat I use are ham, and hardsalomi and the cheese I use is American

Google it but something to do with the way lunch meat is made.

only meat to avoid is deli meat really. because you never know how long they've had it sitting out. lysteria could grow on it. I ate packaged deli meat and cheese all the time. stay away from unpasteurized cheeses. that's all.

Lunch meat has the listeria bacteria and can possibly harm you and baby. If you heat it up you're fine. The cheese is only soft cheeses like the kraft singles or whatever. You can still have regular cheese.

it has something to do with bacteria I think... you can still eat it :) just not a whole lot.. if you warm up the meat than its okay:) . I always go to subway and eat the meat or eat sandwiches. lol it hasn't hurt any of my pregnancies. now the cheese idk about that. I always eat string cheese 😋

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and have been eating deli meat the whole time and I never had any problems. But now I'm scared lol

And the cheese I eat is from the deli also. So is there something wrong with cream cheese or sour cream? I use that a lot also

I honestly have eaten lunch meat my whole pregnancy. Subway has been a huge craving of mine the whole time, I actually just had a sub today! Cheese is perfectly fine too as long as its pasteurized 🙂

you can have any deli meat you just have to heat it for at least 30 seconds before you eat it because it has a lot of bacteria and stuff like that in it I have ate it all my pregnancy and I'm 26 weeks and my baby is perfectly healthy (:
